Kalki 2898 AD Set To Rock Global Box Office, Crosses $3 mn Mark In North America Advance Booking. Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, and Deepika Padukone starrer Kalki 2898 AD has already crossed the $3 million threshold in bookings in North America. Set for a global release on June 27, the Indian epic dystopian sci-fi action film has captivated fans worldwide. Bookings for Kalki 2898 AD began on June 23.
Prathyangira Cinemas stated on microblogging platform X (formerly Twitter) that over 70,000 tickets have been sold in North America. And over 180415 tickets have been sold all over India for nearly 3,000 shows.
Reports say 121 cinemas out of 244 in Hyderabad are almost full. And a similar case is in Bengaluru where the Prabhas’ film has earned over Rs 50 lakh.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh, who tweeted about the record bookings, backed this. He said Kalki 2898 AD bookings start in Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, with shows to commence as early as 4:30 a.m. in Hyderabad. He added all packed to capacity within minutes – terrific response.
Not to give away the gist of Kalki 2898 AD, all A-stars have given power packed performances. The film promises a good storyline and visual delight with actions sequences similar to that of Avengers Endgame. Kalki 2898 AD also holds the future of sci-fi genre in Indian cinema and whether the industry is capable of pulling it off like Hollywood.
