Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud said flip flops in the NTA do not serve the interest of the students and urged the agency to avoid it. He also criticized the examination body’s decision to award grace marks to some 1,563 students to make up for the loss of time and wrong question paper, which the NTA later canceled and students had to sit for a re-test.
Chandrachud said the expert committee has to look into the shortcomings, evaluate the mechanism, and make recommendations to the NTA and the government. The special committee which was constituted by the Union Government on June 22 has been directed by the top court to formulate a Standard Operating Procedure.
