Indian film director, producer, and screenwriter Ram Gopal Varma has launched a first-of-its-kind AI-powered venture in India called RGV Den Music. It uses only AI-generated tunes, mainly from AI-apps ‘Suno’ and ‘Udio’.
The Daud director took to microblogging platform X (formerly Twitter) to announce that RGV DEN MUSIC will have music by AI apps. He said the first application of AI Music has been done on his latest feature film SAAREE.
RGV added that the music of SAAREE, including its background score, is done by artificial intelligence. This makes SAAREE the first feature film to use AI-generated music.
RGV believes that AI music will surely affect the human music industry. He highlighted that human musicians – composers, lyricists, and singers will completely disappear shortly. And AI apps will fill in that gap at a very rapid pace.

AI Will Make Music Accessible and Less Expensive: Ram Gopal Varma
RGV explained that, unlike AI apps, human music composers struggle to meet deadlines. Moreover, musicians have scheduling conflicts lyricists fail to capture the essence, and singers, too, come with their own set of issues which make music production time-consuming and expensive.
The producer asserted that AI-powered music apps produce songs on given prompts for users to generate, edit, and compose without any loss in translation. AI apps give limitless options in seconds and that too at zero cost. RGV said it ensures that the music has its stamp on it because the prompt is coming from it itself.
