Tech billionaire Elon Musk was hyped up at former US President Donald Trump’s rally in Butler, the Pennsylvania city where the Republican was shot at nearly three months ago. He raised his arms above his head and jumped before a roaring crowd of Trump supporters.
Musk wore a shirt with the words ‘Occupy Mars’ written, a sports coat, and a baseball cap featuring Trump’s slogan ‘Make America Great Again’. The SpaceX CEO said, “I’m not just MAGA, I’m dark MAGA.”
This is the first rally where Musk has publicly endorsed the Republican following the July 13 incident wherein a lone gunman tried to assassinate the former US president. The billionaire told the supporters that President Trump must win to preserve the Constitution. He added that he must win to preserve democracy in America.
Elon Musk Says Democrats Want to Stifle Rights
Musk believes the other side (Democrats) wants to take away American’s freedom of speech. “They want to take away your right to bear arms and they want to take away your right to vote, effectively.”
Musk, who is also the CEO of Tesla Motors, had empowered Trump with a live audio conversation on his microblogging platform X (formerly Twitter). He came out as a Trump supporter after the former US president was shot at.
