Will Rahul Gandhi Breeze Through Wayanad?

The BJP is inching closer to the majority mark with the Congress tailing closely. The Gandhi scion took on BJP’s K Surendran and is leading in Wayanad, Kerala. Results show Rahul Gandhi leading by 37,321 votes in Wayanad. Traditionally, he used to contest over the Raebareli seat, but in recent years, he failed to get a foothold.

BJP Bags Surat Seat

BJP’s Mukesh Dala managed to secure the Surat seat unopposed but not without controversy. The Congress claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party used undue pressure and pressed candidates to withdraw their nominations. Moreover, some political leaders highlighted that not polling in the constituency was a serious violation of the voters’ right as they could also opt for the NOTA option.
