The Bharatiya Janata Party has deployed Prime Minister Narendra Modi to campaign in Maharashtra for the upcoming assembly elections which will take place in a single phase on November 20. BJP is an ally of the Mahayuti government and is set to take on the opposition Congress.
The Congress party recently sparked controversy when Nana Patole, during a campaign in Akola, said it was time to make BJP a dog. He said the ruling party came to power with a bundle of lies and now it’s time to show it its place. Patole added that the members of the Bharatiya Janata Party consider themselves God and Vishwaguru, and Devendra Fadnavis considers himself God.
His comments disgruntled BJP leaders, with Atul Bhatkalkar saying Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) leaders are stooping to a new low. He criticized the opposition for using foul language. Pradeep Bhandari, BJP national spokesperson, said Patole’s comments show the Emergency mindset of the Congress party. He said the Congress wants to tame its rivals, bring them under control, and file cases against them to silence them.

Narendra Modi Bets For Maharashtra
PM Modi lashed out at the opposition MVA, highlighting ‘Agadi’ means the biggest players of corruption. He said the steady and rapid development of Maharashtra is beyond the reach of Agadi. Narendra Modi highlighted Maharashtra as the state with maximum foreign investment. He spotlighted that state’s new airports and expressways, saying one dozen Vande Bharat trains are running and more than 100 railway stations are being transformed.
The senior BJP leader said the people of Chandrapur have been demanding rail connectivity for years, but the Congress and Aghadi didn’t let it happen. Modi accused the Congress of dividing people based on their caste, especially the tribal community – the Adivasi community – to weaken them.
