Prime Video is back with the latest installment in The Russo Bros. Citadel spy franchise starring Varun Dhawan and Samantha in Citadel: Honey Bunny.
With the action-packed trailer out, this series is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on November 7. The spy thriller is set in the 1990s, and promises to captivate audiences with high-octane action, drama, romantic angles and of course espionage.
Varun Dhawan features as stuntman Bunny who recruits a struggling actress Bunny, played by Samantha, for a side gig. They find themselves in the world of espionage and betrayal. Somehow they get estranged only to reunite to fight for and protect their daughter.
Excitement for Citadel: Honey Bunny
There’s lots of buzz and excitement surrounding Citadel: Honey Bunny, said Head of Originals, Prime Video India Nikhil Madhok. He highlighted the tremendous response to the teaser, the excitement, and anticipation for the latest installment of the spy series.
Madhok said Prime Video felt now is the right time to provide the audience with a window into the series with an action-infused trailer of Citadel: Honey Bunny. He believes that the directors Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK have added their signature quirk and charm to the action-packed spy thriller.
Raj & DK said Citadel: Honey Bunny is a significant project in unprecedented world of spies and espionage that has never been done or attempted before. They shared that Citadel: Honey Bunny is their first such collaboration with creative forces like Russo Brothers.

Varun Dhawan and Samantha as Citadel: Honey Bunny
Actors Varun Dhawan and Samantha expressed enthusiasm for their roles. Varun shared that as a spy, he leads a double life and has two distinct sides to every aspect of his personality. The Bawaal actor said he drew on a blend of experiences and characters he has embodied over the years. He also prepared mentally and physically for some of the grueling stunts in the series.
Samantha said she was drawn to be part of the series owing to its gripping storyline, rich character depth, intense hand-to-hand combats and stunts that rival international standards. She is confident that the audience will love her role and enjoy Citadel: Honey Bunny.
