He is an Indian comedian, actor, and musician. Vir Das, 45, was seen in Bollywood movies like Delhi Belly, and Go Goa Gone. He has also starred in Netflix’s Abroad Understanding.
This multi-talented artist has done over 100 stand-up comedy shows, 18 films, and so on. Vir Das landed himself into trouble in 2021 for the poem I Come From Two Indias.
It was controversial and the poem went viral. Seven charges were filed against him in India and he was accused of defaming and insulting India in the United States of America. Several BJP members filed complaints against Vir Das and called for his arrest.
Lilly Singh
Lilly Singh, 35, is a Canadian, while her parents are Indian-Punjabi immigrants from Punjab. She rose to fame making videos (under the pseudonym ||Superwoman||) on YouTube about Indian Sikhs living in Canada, their culture, and their way of life. The comedian was ranked by Forbes as the world’s highest-paid YouTuber, wherein she was 3rd at $7.5 million.
Lilly Singh grew into a Television host, and comedian. She has won several awards. Lilly Singh is the first person of Indian descent to host the NBC late-night talk show A Little Late with Lilly Singh.
Hasan Minhaj
Hasan Minhaj, 38, is an American, while his parents are Indian Muslims from Uttar Pradesh. He has been part of the popular The Daily Show. Hasan Minhaj is known for dark political comedy, satire, and observational comedy.
