After killing Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah in an airstrike in Beirut on Saturday, Israel has expanded its attacks in Lebanon and the Houthis in Yemen. Hezbollah, the Houthis, and Gaza-based Hamas are part of Iran’s Axis of Resistance.
Israel Strikes Houthis In Yemen
At least four people were killed and nearly 30 injured in Yemen on Sunday. Israeli fighter jets attacked power plants and a seaport in Hodeiadah and the port of Ras Issa. Israel defended its attack in Yemen saying that over the past year.
Houthis have been operating under the direction and funding of Iran, and in cooperation with Iraqi militants to attack Israel and undermine regional stability. It highlighted that the Houthis have disrupted global freedom of navigation.
Houthis, in support of Hamas in Gaza, have repeatedly fired missiles and drones at Israel in solidarity with Palestinians since Israel took up its right to defend itself following Hamas’ Operation Al Aqasa Flood on October 7, 2023.
On Sunday, a spokesman for the Houthis in a social media post said Israeli strikes would not prompt the group to abandon Gaza and Lebanon.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that its fighter jets struck dozens of Hezbollah sites, including places where the Hezbollah supposedly stored rocket launchers and other weapons, in the Bekaa Valley region in Lebanon.

Israel is Main Cause of Regional Instability
Iran President Masoud Pezeshkian said Iran is the main cause of regional instability. He believes nothing will happen if the Zionist regime does not kill any person and assassinate anyone. “If the US stops supporting Israel and the regime halts forcing people out of their land and homes, none of the resistance groups such as Ansarullah, Hamas, or Hezbollah will intervene.”
Pezeshkian said Islamic countries should get united bring an end to the Israeli atrocities, and forge peace in the region.
