After sharing the stage with former US President Barack Obama just days ago, Kamala Harris and Michelle Obama took voters by storm at a rally in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The former first lady took supporters emotionally by highlighting and sharing her struggles with women’s health, especially menopause.
Michelle Obama, 60, passionately spoke about the upcoming American election, the high stakes against former US President Donald Trump, women’s health, abortion, teen pregnancy, and democracy.
She reminded supporters that women are more than just baby-making vessels. Michelle Obama, who is also a lawyer, pointed out that a woman affected by policies could be in legal jeopardy if she needs a pill from out of state or even overseas.

Michelle Obama Passionate About Women’s Health
The former first lady said increasingly limited access to types of women’s health care could also have serious consequences for miscarriage care, cancer screenings, and access to medical professionals, and highlighted the importance of regular gynecological care. Michelle Obama also threw light on the lack of research on women’s health and the racial disparities in treatment.
The Vice President and presidential hopeful Kamala Harris also spoke on reproductive freedom in Texas, featuring pop queen Beyonce, on Friday. She said Donald Trump was culpable for the plight of millions of women living in states with near-total abortion bans.
The Democrats’ stance on women’s reproductive health could pull in significant female voters.
