Kamala Harris is wasting no time in steering the ship toward the choppy higher seas for the Democrats. No one says it’s going to be easy, but the vice president has raked in thousands of millions of dollars in donations and thousands of volunteers.

This shows that people have noticed the change in Democrats’ presidential candidature and are happy to go along with someone way younger than Joe Biden, someone who can put up a good fight against Republican Donald Trump.

Who Is Kamala Harris?

Harris has stood out as the first African American and South Asian American to hold the office of Attorney General in 2011 and in 2021 as the first woman to be America’s vice president, the highest-ranking female official in US history, and the first South Asian-American vice president. If elected, she will lead the Democrats as the first female president of the United States.

Can Kamala Harris Edge Out Rival Donald Trump?

Election forecaster, Allan Lichtman, who has predicted nearly every presidential race correctly since 1984, says the ‘Keys to the White House’ are favoring Harris in a hypothetical 2024 matchup against Trump.

Harris, 59, stands out from Trump in the primary contest, short-term economy, long-term economy, policy change, no scandal, and no challenger charisma. She comes to Democrats as a hope, an avatar to kick the rival Republicans in the stomach. But it’s going to be a long battle.

The Trump campaign in its latest television ad has attacked the vice president as an evasive, weak, and distracted leader. It says Kamala Harris failed, weak and dangerously liberal. The ad highlights the former prosecutor for her role in overseeing diplomatic efforts in trying to tackle migration from El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala.

The Republicans have labeled Harris as Biden’s ‘border czar’. The Trump campaign seems to suggest that Harris is responsible for the US’s immigration problems.

However, it fails to resonate with the younger voters who have been calling for a change in leadership. They seem to approve of Harris – a new face, female gender, who could turn around the US for good, and most importantly end wars like the Gaza war.
