Victoria Kjaer Theilvig Creates History for Denmark, Wins Miss Universe 2024

Victoria Kjaer Theilvig made Denmark proud by becoming the first Dane to sweep up the top award at the prestigious international beauty pageant – Miss Universe 2024. She emerged as the new queen, beating more than 120 other contestants from different countries across the world.

Miss Universe is an exclusive international pageant that celebrates diverse cultures, backgrounds and religions. The platform creates and provides a safe space for women to share their stories, and experiences, drive impact personally, professionally, and philanthropically. Winners of this pageant go onto serve their communities and countries as inspirational leaders and role models.

Theilvig was crowned Miss Universe 2024 at the annual glitzy competition in Mexico City, on Saturday night. Sheynnis Palacious, Miss Universe 2023 of Nicaragua, did the honors of putting the prestigious tiara on Ms Denmark. Theilvig also made history by becoming the first Miss Universe queen to dorn a Philippine-made crown which debuted in the ‘Lumiere de I’Infini’ (Light of Infinity) crown. This has been specifically crafted by Filipinos with South Sea pearls from Palawan.

Chidimma Adetshina of Nigeria won the first runner-up, Maria Fernanda Beltran of Mexico came second, Opal Suchata Chuangsri of Thailand third, and Ileana Marquez Pedroza of Venezula came fourth.

Who is Miss Universe 2024 Victoria Kjaer Theilvig?

Victoria Kjaer Theilvig, 21, has emerged as the 73rd Miss Universe. She participated in the Miss Universe 2024 competition after making it as a top 20 finalist in the 2022 Miss Grand International, a pageant that was held in Indonesia.

Theilvig won Miss Universe 2024 by answering random questions on a range of topics. She was asked how she would live differently if nobody would judge her. Miss Denmark replied she wouldn’t change anything and would live by each day. She also urged the viewers to keep fighting, no matter where they come from.

Victoria Kjaer Theilvig is a European and World Championship dancer, entrepreneur, and an aspiring lawyer. She is also a mental health advocate and wants to use her voice for the unheard.
