John Abraham is a man on a mission in the latest political thriller The Diplomat which also stars Sadia Khateeb. The Diplomat was released in cinemas on Holi and is drawing rave reviews.
Movie critic Taran Adarsh said the film released with minimal buzz and benefitted from the Holi holiday on Friday with multiplexes in key centers recording good occupancy post 4 pm. He highlighted that The Diplomat had to compete with several re-releases. “The Diplomat needs to deliver stronger results on Saturday and Sunday for a respectable weekend total.”
The Diplomat has received an average rating of 3.17 out of 5 and is going strong by word of mouth.

John Abraham’s The Diplomat Very Engaging
Despite a slow start, fans cannot stop raving about the political thriller. A netizen posted on social media that the vibe of The Diplomat is very engaging and a 4 cr opening is not at all bad considering that it was Holi on Friday.

The Diplomat – A True Story
Based on a true story, The Diplomat has been directed by Shivam Nair. He made sure the film remained true to the subject and real-life incident. The story is based on JP, played by John Abraham, a deputy high commissioner at the Indian High Commission in Pakistan. Sadia Khateeb features as Uzma Ahmed who has been forcibly married to a Tahir and wants to return home to India. JP wants to help the girl but is cautious that she might have some ulterior motives.
