Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke with US President Joe Biden for the first time in weeks amid an imminent Israeli attack on Iran. The call, described as direct and productive by the White House, lasted for 30 minutes.

This talk follows Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant’s warning to Iran that IDF’s strike in Tehran will be deadly, precise, and surprising. He said the Iranian regime will see the results but fail to comprehend what and how it happened.

US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller told a press briefing on Wednesday that the United States supports the limited ground incursions that the IDF is conducting inside Lebanon. He said they don’t want Israel to go deeper into Lebanon or repeat the 1982 war.

Miller highlighted that the White House is aware of what Israel did in 1982 in Lebanon – it started with limited ground operations followed by full-scale ground operations, and occupation. He said the US is against Israeli occupation in Lebanon.

Meanwhile, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said the Israel regime is dragging the Middle East into a catastrophe.
